Expand your network and knowledge of your future career as a participant of the Engineering Mentoring Program. This innovative program grows with you. Junior students are mentored by senior students, who are in turn mentored by local industry leaders who are often UBC Engineering alumni. As you become more advanced, so does the guidance you receive. In turn, you reinforce your knowledge by sharing what you’ve learned.
Use your engineering knowledge to collaborate with communities locally and around the world. You can join the hundreds of engineering students who participate in the Reading Week Projects – week-long community service projects where UBC students teach science and engineering to local elementary school students. Or if you’re interested in helping globally, follow the paths of our students working with the urban poor in Ghana to create sustainable livelihoods or in Lesotho working to improve sanitation and health. These are just a few of the recent projects to which UBC engineering students have lent their skills.
