Admissions

Direct Entry from BC High Schools

The majority of students entering engineering in the Faculty of Applied Science do so directly from high school.

Applicants to UBC Engineering are evaluated on a broad range of criteria. And while we are looking for academically strong students, we also want to know if you possess additional attributes that will contribute to your success as a student.

In addition to information provided in your personal profile, you will be evaluated on the following four Grade 12 courses: English 12, Chemistry 12, Principles of Mathematics 12 and Physics 12.

The minimum average for admission is set each year dependent on the number of qualified applicants and their academic performance. Over the past few years, the minimum average has been in the 80's.

More information about your UBC application can be found here.
