UBC Engineering is happy to help you connect with our students either for a short-term project or as a career path.

Since the disciplines of engineering vastly differ, we recognize the needs of employers can best be served by connecting with the schools or the engineering co-op office directly.

UBC Co-op Engineering Program

Gain access to bright, enthusiastic engineering students for work placements through the UBC Co-op Engineering Program. The benefits of hiring a co-op student include:

  • Access to high-achieving, skilled students who have been pre-selected into the UBC Co-op Engineering Program based on their academic excellence and personal strengths
  • Availability of co-op students for four- or eight-month work terms year round
  • A cost effective way to staff peak periods or complete special projects
  • Engineering faculty provide ongoing support to co-op students throughout their work term, they monitor students work experiences and provide a valuable liaison for industry with the university's expertise, research, curriculum and programs
  • The opportunity to train and test potential long-term employees provides a cost-saving human-resource advantage.
