Printing
The CEME MicroLab is the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4100 dtn Postscript printer located in CEME 2210 and is available for student use as a cost-recovered print service.
In order to use the printer, students must have a Faculty of Applied Science printing card and then follow the Printing Instructions. Instructions on how to acquire a printing card are posted on the bulletin board in CEME 2210.
- Printing costs $0.08 per image
- The lab machines default to two-sided printing.
- You can change to one-sided printing but the cost will not change. Our print manager software charges for the image, not the sheet of paper
Network Access and Usage
Computers have direct access to the UBC campus network only. There is no off-campus access.
Note that there are implicit ethical aspects in using the Internet from lab machines. No games or sites that are in violation of any UBC regulation. Please respect your fellow students and don't monopolize our machines for the web when there are lineups for classwork.
